Maple Dijon Dressing

Most of the recipes on this webpage I have altered enough that I feel they are my own OR I have been making so long, I do not remember where the recipe came from. This one is a newer recipe and I can give credit to the creator. Well done - I love this recipe!

When the truth about seed oils came out, I went on a hunt for salad dressings that avoided these unhealthy oils. I came up short so I started making my own. Turns out it is easy and much more affordable.

Ingredients

1/4 cup maple syrup

2 tablespoons Dijon mustard

2 cloves of minced garlic

1/4 cup apple cider vinegar or red wine vinegar

1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Directions

Put maple syrup, dijon mustard, minced garlic, vinegar, olive oil, salt and black pepper in a container with a lid, like a mason jar.

Shake and pour over salad. Also great as a marinade for chicken.
